Five years later, disillusioned by the ruination of his voice and being made to work in the background with little to no credit, The D.O.C. bolted, taking along with him the fruit of his labor and cutting ties with his mentor, Dr. Dre. His sophomore album, HELTER SKELTER, finally landed in stores in 1996, with his misfortune turned into a dystopian landscape.
