Big Daddy Kane, born Antonio Hardy in Brooklyn, New York, is widely regarded as one of the greatest lyricists in hip-hop history. From his groundbreaking debut single "Raw" to classics like "Ain't No Half-Steppin'," "Smooth Operator," and "I Get the Job Done," Kane's albums Long Live the Kane (1988) and It's a Big Daddy Thing (1989) became gold-certified cornerstones of hip-hop's golden era.
